Job Description
CADPOINT is looking for enthusiastic CAD Design Interns to gain practical experience in engineering drafting and 2D/3D modeling. Interns will work alongside experienced design professionals on real-world projects while learning industry-standard CAD software and engineering documentation practices. The institute emphasizes hands-on training, live projects, internship opportunities, and placement support.
Key Responsibilities
- Create accurate 2D engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
- Develop 3D models and assemblies using CAD software.
- Prepare floor plans, elevations, sections, and technical drawings.
- Modify and update existing CAD files based on project requirements.
- Maintain engineering drawing standards and documentation.
- Assist senior designers in project planning and execution.
- Coordinate with project teams to resolve design-related issues.
- Generate Bills of Materials (BOM) and design documentation.
- Perform quality checks on drawings before submission.
- Support live client projects and project presentations.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Understanding of engineering drawing principles.
- Familiarity with SolidWorks, Revit, CATIA, or SketchUp is an advantage.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Office).
